POSITION OVERVIEW
Field
Technicians execute a variety of tasks associated with the installation and programming
of lighting and AV systems. The
Audio/Video Field Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring,
and maintaining audiovisual equipment and systems for clients. The technician
will also troubleshoot and diagnose issues with AV systems and provide support
and training to clients as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Setting
up and installing audio and video equipment, such as speakers, microphones,
cameras, projectors, and displays.
o
What
miscellaneous items are needed to complete set-up.
o
Read
and understand the job schedule.
o
Familiarize
yourself with the products being installed: brand, size, etc.
·
Testing
and troubleshooting equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
o
Learn
and maintain updated knowledge on best troubleshooting processes per product.
·
Running
and terminating cables and wiring for audio and video systems.
o
Accurately
labeling cable to their panels and systems.
·
Configuring
and programming audio and video systems to meet client specifications.
·
Collaborating
with clients, event planners, and other technical staff to determine the best
A/V solutions for.
·
Providing
technical support during events, including setting up and operating equipment,
troubleshooting technical issues, and making necessary adjustments to ensure
the event runs smoothly.
·
Maintaining
and repairing A/V equipment, including replacing parts and performing routine
maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment.
·
Manage

Keeping
up to date with the latest A/V technology trends and advancements in the
industry.

Providing
training and support to clients on how to use A/V equipment and systems.

and event attendees.

Maintain
good working relationships with vendors and clients.

Meet
with other supervisor on a regular basis to have the most updated information
and client needs that could affect the ordering and installation process.

and RMA required, and new items need to be ordered?

Perform
all other duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
o
Miscellaneous
tasks and duties in relation to position or as needed for company coverage.
·
Learn
the different types of materials and products used by Ambiance and how to
implement them in lighting design. Also develop a good understanding of
lighting control systems, motorized shading and Audio Video systems.
o
Comprehensive
knowledge and understanding of all tools/programs required.
·
Be
able to drive company vehicles to job site.
o
Safely,
while following all traffic laws.
·
Attend
company meetings and be cognizant of the goals and timelines for each project.
o
Come
prepared, engage, and take notes.
·
Leave
work areas in the best condition possible.
o
Do
not leave personal or work-related garbage on a job site.
o
Arrive
with clean clothes and shoes free of mud.

Understand
the purpose and correct use for applicable tools.
·
Meeting
with supervisor on a quarterly basis:
o
Discuss
current role and knowledge base.

Create
new goals and set accurate metrics for position.
QUALIFCATIONS
FOR THE JOB
Education:
High School Graduate/GED
Experience:
·
High
school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a
related field preferred
·
Any experience in audiovisual installation and
configuration, including experience with distributed audio, video switching,
and lighting control systems.
·
Excellent communication skills, both verbal
and written
·
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to
detail
·
Ability to work independently and as part of a
team.
·
Willingness to travel to client sites and work
outside of normal business hours as needed.
·
Valid driver's license and reliable
transportation required.
